Privacy Policy

Last updated:

SoundLoom is a free, client-side web application. We have designed it to collect as little information as possible. This policy explains what is and is not collected when you use the site.

Information we collect ourselves

Almost nothing. SoundLoom has no accounts and no login. We do not run our own analytics, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not set first-party tracking cookies. The chords and tabs you generate are computed in your browser and are not sent to us.

Local storage on your device

If you change settings in the accessibility widget (for example, larger text or higher contrast), those preferences are saved locally in your browser using its built-in storage. This information stays on your device, is never transmitted to us or anyone else, and can be cleared at any time from the widget’s reset control or your browser settings.

The contact form

Our contact form is powered by Formspree. When you submit it, the name, email address, and message you provide are sent to Formspree and forwarded to the site operator so we can reply. This data is used solely to respond to your message. Formspree processes the submission on our behalf and may apply spam filtering; their handling is governed by Formspree’s own privacy policy.

Advertising

SoundLoom uses (or will use) Google AdSense to display advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar identifiers to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Third-party services we rely on

These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data. We do not control, and are not responsible for, their practices.

Children

SoundLoom is a general-audience music tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the page reflects the latest version.
